Harney Pond Canal - Margaret Van de Velde Park - Central Canal Side Boat Ramp

Located in Lakeport on Lake Okeechobee's Harney Pond Canal, this single-lane boat ramp with floating dock provides straightforward water access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp is the third facility from the park entrance and offers 50 trailer parking spots with good condition parking lot surfaces. There are no dedicated handicap spaces or vehicle-only parking available at this location.

This access point serves as an ideal launching spot for exploring Lake Okeechobee's calm canal systems and is popular with anglers and recreational boaters. The park also features a paved path and trailhead for the Florida Trail, making it a multi-use recreation area.
