Located in Palm Beach County, the Harold A. Campbell Public Use Area serves as the primary access point to the Stormwater Treatment Area 3/4—one of the world's largest constructed wetlands spanning 17,000 acres of marsh and open water. The facility features a dual-lane public boat ramp that launches paddlers and boaters directly into 23 miles of perimeter canals, making it an excellent starting point for exploring this vast freshwater wetland ecosystem.
This access site is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a slower-paced paddling experience through shallow marsh habitat. Beyond the boat ramp, the public use area includes paved parking, concrete sidewalks, a boardwalk for wildlife viewing, and hiking/biking trails. The calm canal system offers excellent opportunities for observing wading birds, wildlife, and the unique River of Grass ecosystem as water flows toward Everglades National Park and Florida Bay. The facility is government-owned and managed by the South Florida Water Management District for general public use.
