About This Access Site
Harriet Lake is a 265-acre lake located in the Superior National Forest, approximately 13 miles northwest of Schroeder in Lake County. The boat access features a concrete log ramp and dock at the U.S. Forest Service rustic campground accessed via Lake County Road 7. This is a no-fee access point with parking for about five vehicles, making it suitable for smaller groups and day-use paddlers.

The lake provides access to a scenic backcountry area with two designated campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site includes a fire grate, latrine, and picnic table. Paddlers should be prepared for wilderness conditions: treat or boil all water, hang food packs, and practice Leave No Trace principles including fully extinguishing fires. This location is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a quieter, backcountry paddling experience in the Superior National Forest.
