About This Access Site
The Harrisville boat ramp provides public access to Harris Pond and the Clear River in Westfield, Marquette County. This cement plank ramp is located in a small cove off the river and serves as the primary launch point for this 172-acre water body. Harris Pond has a maximum depth of 10 feet, making it suitable for small craft including kayaks, canoes, and recreational boats.

**Important Note for Paddlers:** Be aware that the mouth of the cove has experienced significant silting, which can be particularly problematic during low water conditions. Check water levels before launching, especially if you plan to explore beyond the immediate pond area or access the Clear River. The shallow, silted entrance may limit access during dry periods.

The pond supports populations of panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, making it a popular fishing destination. The site's proximity to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and Fox River National Wildlife Refuge offers opportunities to explore the broader Marquette County outdoor recreation network.
