About This Access Site
The Hart State Park Day Use boat ramp provides easy access to the scenic Lake Hartwell, part of the Savannah River system. With 7 launch ramps and ample trailer parking, this is an excellent option for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters looking to explore the lake. The park offers a 20-foot T-dock for tie-up, as well as restrooms, picnic areas, and hiking trails.

Lake Hartwell is a massive 55,590-acre reservoir created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, known for its sparkling waters and abundance of recreational activities. Paddlers can enjoy calm coves and inlets, while powerboaters have ample room to cruise. The lake's size and relatively gentle current make it well-suited for a variety of watercraft. Anglers will also find excellent fishing opportunities from the park's fishing pier and shoreline.

The boat ramp is open year-round, though park hours are seasonal, operating from 6am to 10pm during the summer months. This makes Hart State Park an ideal launch point for both day trips and overnight adventures on Lake Hartwell. With its convenient facilities and access to the expansive lake, the park is a popular destination for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters in the region.
