**Location & Facility Details**
Hartley Lake's public boat ramp is a county-owned facility located off Hartley Lake Road (Highway 53) on the west-central shore of the lake, approximately 15 miles northwest of Nashwauk in Itasca County. The access features a concrete launch ramp approximately 10 feet wide, suitable for launching and retrieving kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats up to 12-18 feet. Parking is available at the site.
**What to Expect**
Hartley Lake is a 281-acre lake offering diverse recreational opportunities. The lake supports a good variety of fish species including walleye, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, and perch, making it popular with anglers. There are no launch fees at this county access. Paddlers should note that motorized boats are permitted on the lake, so expect mixed water traffic.
