Located in the southeast corner of 315-acre Wagon Train Lake near Hickman, the Hedgefield ramp offers convenient access via 110th Street and Park Road (about 21 miles south of Lincoln). This is a single-lane concrete ramp with an attached dock and gravel parking area, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats.
Wagon Train Lake State Recreation Area welcomes all boat types but enforces a 5-mph speed limit, making it ideal for paddlers seeking calm water conditions. The lake provides a scenic setting with 28 camping pads with electrical hook-ups, primitive campsites, picnic areas, and a swim beach.
