About This Access Site
Hemlock Lake offers two dedicated boat launch ramps with associated parking facilities, providing convenient access for paddlers and boaters. Located in Banks Township, the northeast access point is off Rix Road, while the southeast access point is off Route 15A. This makes Hemlock Lake an accessible option for kayakers and canoeists looking for a well-maintained launch facility.

**Important Regulations:** Only electric-motor and hand-propelled boats are permitted on the lake—gasoline-powered motors are strictly prohibited. Boats must be under 20 feet in length. All unpowered boats (kayaks, canoes, etc.) must be registered or display a current launch permit. Innertubes and swim aids are not permitted. Un-powered boats may be moored at the lake in accordance with Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission regulations.

The lake is stocked with bluegill, bass, catfish, muskellunge, walleye, and northern pike, making it a popular destination for both paddlers and anglers. The area offers scenic recreation opportunities and is situated near PA State Gamelands #174 and other nearby outdoor recreation areas.
