About This Access Site
Located approximately 14 miles south of Dillon, Montana, Henneberry offers day-use access to the Beaverhead River via a boat ramp on the east side of the water. The facility includes parking, toilets, and is easily accessed from I-15 via the Dalys exit (#51)—take the exit, turn left under the interstate, then right on the frontage road about 1/4 mile to the access gate. This is a convenient put-in for paddlers and anglers looking to float downstream on the Beaverhead River.

The Henneberry area provides access to a scenic stretch of the Beaverhead River in the Rocky Mountains region. Note that the southern access point is foot-traffic only; the northern boat ramp (approximately two miles downstream) near a small bridge is the designated spot for loading and unloading watercraft. This arrangement allows paddlers to plan multi-section trips or shuttle runs. For camping or overnight stays, the historic Henneberry House cabin (built in 1905) is available for reservation through Recreation.gov at 877-444-6777 or online.
