Henry Abercrombie Jr. Public Boat Ramp

Located at the end of Bluff Road in Apalachicola, this government-owned public boat ramp provides convenient access to the brackish waters of the Apalachicola River. The approximately 25-foot-wide ramp is suitable for small to medium-sized vessels and serves as an ideal launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters exploring this productive estuarine system. The site includes a fishing dock and picnic pavilion, making it a good base for a day on the water.

From this location, paddlers can explore one of the Northern Hemisphere's most ecologically significant estuarine systems. Nearby St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge and the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve offer excellent paddling and fishing opportunities.
