About This Access Site
The Henry Lake Campground provides paddlers and boaters with a convenient boat ramp access point to explore Henry Lake in Michigan's Ottawa National Forest. The boat ramp is located within the campground, so you'll need to drive through the campground to reach it.

Once at the ramp, you'll find an accessible fishing pier nearby, making it easy for anglers to get out on the water. Keep in mind that the lake has some navigational challenges, with floating islands and stumps, so boaters should exercise caution. Upstream of the bridge, motors are not allowed, but you can access this stretch of the waterway by rowing or paddling up the estuary.

The campground is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and visitors must physically arrive to claim a site. Water is available via a hand pump centrally located in the campground. Whether you're looking to launch your kayak, canoe, or small motorized boat, the Henry Lake Campground boat ramp offers a great access point to enjoy the scenic natural surroundings of this Michigan destination.
