About This Access Site
Higgins Lakeview Lodge offers public boat access to Upper St. Croix Lake, an 828-acre water body in Solon Springs with a maximum depth of 22 feet. The facility features a sand beach and multiple boat docks available for visitors. This is a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to launch onto the lake.

Upper St. Croix Lake supports a healthy fishery including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, trout, and walleye, making it popular with anglers as well as recreational paddlers. The lake's moderate size and depth make it suitable for various skill levels. Note that this is a private lodge facility, so check current access policies and any associated fees before visiting. Additional public boat landings around the lake are available through the Wisconsin DNR's boat access map at dnr.wi.gov/topic/Lands/boataccess/.
