It's the first ramp you'll encounter on Highway 192 when approaching from the north, and the closest access point if coming from the south via Highway 25. Free parking is available at the launch.
**What to Expect**
Laurel River Lake is one of Kentucky's deepest and cleanest lakes, offering quiet coves and scenic cliff-lined shores ideal for both paddlers and motorboaters. The lake is excellent for fishing (black bass, rainbow trout, walleye, crappie, bluegill, and catfish), and the surrounding area is part of Daniel Boone National Forest with the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail nearby for additional exploration. The calm water conditions make this an accessible launch point for kayakers and canoeists.
**Nearby Amenities**
Additional boat ramps serve Laurel River Lake (Grove, Holly Bay, and others), and nearby campgrounds at Holly Bay and Grove provide overnight options for extended trips. Be aware of vehicle security at the parking area, as break-ins have been reported.
