Highway 13 - West

Located in Carterville near Highway 13, this boat ramp provides public access to Crab Orchard Lake in Williamson County. The ramp serves as a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats exploring this 44,000-acre water body managed as part of the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. The relatively flat lake environment makes it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels.

Before visiting, note that the refuge occasionally implements maintenance closures and lake drawdowns for dam and ramp repairs.
