About This Access Site
The Highway 64 Bridge access point is located at the upper end of Lake Tyler East near Tyler, Smith County. This public boat ramp provides convenient access via a concrete launch facility situated on the east side of the bridge, just south of the roadway. The site includes parking for vehicles and a picnic area, making it a good spot to prepare for paddling or take a break while exploring the water.

To reach the ramp, take Texas Highway 64 east from Tyler and look for the access area on your right immediately after crossing the bridge over the upper end of the lake. This location is ideal for paddlers launching onto Mud Creek, Lake Tyler East, Everett Branch, and Caney Creek. The ramp is open year-round, providing year-round access to this portion of the lake system. The picnic facilities and wildlife viewing opportunities along the highway make this a practical base for day trips on the water.
