This is the first public access point downstream of Longhorn Dam in Austin, making it a popular put-in for paddlers exploring the lower Colorado River. The access is on river left (downstream side) with generous parking available under the bridge. Note that there are no public bathrooms, picnic tables, or grills at this site.
