About This Access Site
Located off FM 3449, approximately 0.5 miles east of the Texas 87/FM 2928 junction near Shelbyville, this boat ramp provides reliable year-round access to Toledo Bend Reservoir. The facility is operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas and Louisiana and features a dedicated boat ramp and parking area. A $2.00 per-vehicle day-use fee applies.

This access point is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to launch on the reservoir's calmer waters. The ramp was completed in 1996 and is well-maintained for consistent use throughout the year. Primitive tent camping is available on-site without developed facilities. The area is managed by Sabine National Forest, making it a good option for those seeking a more rustic recreation experience while still maintaining convenient boat access to Toledo Bend's expansive waters.
