The Highway 9 South Ramp 1 on the Canadian River - Eufaula Lake is a popular boat launch and access point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters in the Longtown, Oklahoma area. This concrete 4-lane boat ramp provides easy access to the expansive Eufaula Lake, which is known for its excellent fishing for crappie, sand bass, catfish, and black bass.
The ramp is part of the larger Highway 9 Landing Campground, which offers additional recreational amenities like a sandy swimming beach. Plenty of parking is available, and a full-service marina on-site provides gas, bait and tackle, lodging, and other services. To reach the ramp, take Highway 9 east from Eufaula for 9 miles and follow the signs to the campground.
Eufaula Lake is the largest lake located entirely within Oklahoma, spanning over 105,000 acres on the Canadian River. Its size and diverse fishery make it a popular destination for both power boating and paddle sports. Paddlers can explore the lake's numerous coves and inlets, while powerboaters can enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding, and cruising the open water.
