About This Access Site
The Hilbert Lake East boat ramp provides public access to this 278-acre lake located in Marinette and Forest Counties, Wisconsin. This access point is situated on the east side of the lake near the Laura Lake Campground area. The lake features clear water and restricted motor use, making it ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a peaceful paddling experience. With a maximum depth of 32 feet, the lake offers diverse paddling conditions across its surface.

The lake supports a healthy fishery including panfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers. Laura Lake Campground (reservable via Recreation.gov at 715-674-4481) is located nearby and offers camping facilities for those planning an extended visit. Additional recreation in the area includes swimming, hiking trails around the lake, and access to the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. A second boat landing exists on the west side of the lake via Hilbert Drive if you need alternate access points.
