Hilton Park

Hilton Park offers a dedicated boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and small vessels onto the Piscataqua River and Great Bay. Located in Dover at the edge of New Hampshire's largest estuarine system, this family-friendly access point provides scenic views and a spacious picnic area with amenities including picnic tables, grills, and restrooms (port-a-potties available). The park allows leashed dogs and features playground areas and open space for recreation.

**Important considerations for paddlers:** Water conditions here can be challenging—currents run fast and cold, and swimming is not recommended due to dangerous water movement. Tidal fluctuations and wind significantly affect launching conditions; the ramp's shallow pitch can make it difficult to launch during certain tides or windy weather. Plan your trip accordingly and be prepared for strong currents typical of estuarine waters. The park provides good access to explore Great Bay and the surrounding National Estuarine Research Reserve and National Wildlife Refuge nearby.
