About This Access Site
Holbrook Park in Sulphur offers convenient public access to the West Fork Calcasieu River with both a traditional boat ramp and a dedicated kayak/canoe put-in, making it an excellent choice for paddlers of all experience levels. Located just 15 miles northwest of Lake Charles, the park provides no-day-use fee access, allowing visitors to launch for short outings or extended river exploration at minimal cost.

The park is well-developed for water access, with the boat ramp and paddle put-in situated close to the office for easy navigation. In addition to river access, Holbrook Park offers overnight camping options including tent sites and 13 RV campsites with electrical hookups, plus a dump station for RV users. This makes it an ideal basecamp for multi-day paddling trips on the West Fork Calcasieu River.
