About This Access Site
Located at 9725 Holden Park Road (SE 6th Avenue) in Hawthorne, Holden Pond is one of Alachua County's few public freshwater access points. This government-owned stand-alone boat ramp provides kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters access to Holden Pond and the adjoining Little Orange Lake, making it a valuable resource in an area where most waterways are privately owned.

The ramp is open to the public and serves as a good launching point for paddling on these smaller freshwater ponds. The site is particularly popular with anglers, but kayakers and canoeists will find it equally useful for exploring the interconnected waters. For current information on facility conditions or to report any maintenance issues, contact Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at BoatRamps@MyFWC.com.
