Holly Point is a boat ramp access site located on the Neuse River in Wake County, North Carolina. This major river is over 250 miles long, with an average flow of 6,394 cubic feet per second and a gentle 1 foot per mile gradient.
The boat ramp is part of the Falls Lake recreation area, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the State of North Carolina. It provides a paved launch area and parking for trailer-based boaters. Paddlers can access the river by walking about half a mile down a paved greenway trail from the parking lot.
The Neuse River is a popular destination for kayakers, canoeists, and small motor boats. Its large size and moderate flow make it navigable for a variety of watercraft, though boaters should be prepared for changing conditions and plan accordingly. With its proximity to the Falls Lake area, Holly Point offers an excellent access point to explore this scenic Piedmont waterway.
