Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend Boat Ramp provides access to the Cumberland River and Cordell Hull Lake, a popular destination for paddlers, anglers, and recreational boaters in central Tennessee. The ramp is paved and offers ample parking, making it a convenient launching point.

The Cumberland River in this area is a large, navigable waterway flowing through rolling hills and farmland. Cordell Hull Lake, formed by a dam downstream, offers over 12,000 acres of surface water for exploration. The lake and surrounding recreation areas provide opportunities for fishing, swimming, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

For paddlers, the Cumberland River in this section is generally calm and wide, making it well-suited for kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. Boaters should be aware of fluctuating water levels and potential hazards, and plan accordingly. Restrooms are available at the Horseshoe Bend access site, but no other amenities are provided on-site. Visitors are encouraged to check local conditions and prepare appropriately before launching.
