Hot Springs Landing is a boat ramp providing access to Magic Reservoir in south-central Idaho's Blaine County. Located near Gannett, this is one of several launch points on Magic Reservoir and serves as a gateway for boaters and paddlers exploring the reservoir and connected waterways including Camas Creek and the Big Wood River. The clear water and healthy trout population make this a popular destination for fishing and recreational boating.
**Access and Directions:** The landing is reached via East Magic Reservoir Road. From Highway 75 (between mile markers 98-99), turn onto East Magic Reservoir Road and travel approximately 4-6 miles to reach the ramp. Alternative west shore access is available via Highway 20; turn south near milepost 162 and continue about 13 miles. The site also connects to other nearby landings including Moonstone Landing and Sheep Bridge for additional flexibility.
**Recreation Nearby:** Beyond Magic Reservoir itself, paddlers can explore the surrounding area's recreation opportunities, including Thorn Creek Reservoir (a smaller, non-motorized watercraft-friendly option) and the Croy Creek Trail System west of Hailey for land-based activities. This makes Hot Springs Landing a good base for exploring both water and trail recreation in the Magic Valley region.
