Hunting Run Reservoir

Hunting Run Reservoir offers a convenient boat ramp access point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. This 420-acre reservoir is owned and managed by Spotsylvania County, providing public fishing and water recreation opportunities.

The boat ramp is the primary access point for the reservoir, with a county-maintained facility including parking, restrooms, and a fishing pier. Visitors will need to obtain an access pass, which is available on-site. The reservoir allows both human-powered and small motorized boats, though gas-powered motors must remain disconnected from the fuel tank while on the water.
