Hurricane Creek Boat Ramp provides convenient public access to Hartwell Lake, one of the nation's most popular U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoirs. Located northwest of Anderson near the end of George Smith Mill Road, this facility features a two-lane boat ramp, courtesy dock, and paved parking for approximately 40 vehicles. The ramp is ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats onto the calm waters of Six and Twenty Creek and Hurricane Creek as they flow into the lake.
This is a year-round access point suitable for paddlers of all skill levels seeking to explore Hartwell Lake's protected waters. The facilities are well-maintained and open daily, making it a reliable choice for day trips. For those planning extended visits, Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins is located within 10 miles of the site. Contact the Hartwell Lake Office at 888-893-0678 for additional information about the facility or to inquire about group reservations.
