The facility features a single-lane boat ramp suitable for all vessel types, with no launch fee required. The marina is situated in a protective cove offering one of the few deep-water access points to the lake and operates year-round. Toledo Bend Reservoir represents the lower portion of the Sabine River system, a major waterway draining nearly 10,000 square miles across East Texas. At this location, paddlers and boaters can expect substantial water depth and size typical of a large impoundment, with the river exhibiting a gentle 0.8 ft/mile average gradient in this section. The reservoir's protected cove setting at Huxley Bay provides calmer conditions compared to the main channel, making it suitable for kayakers and canoeists of varying skill levels, while the established marina facilities offer convenient access to supplies and services.
