Located seven miles northeast of Corvallis in Albany, Hyak Park offers a well-maintained all-season paved boat ramp providing excellent access to the Willamette River at river mile 122. The facility features expansive parking, flush restrooms, moorage, and scenic river views. This is the best boat ramp access point above Albany and serves as a strategic launch location for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats exploring this section of the river.
The park includes two family picnic tables and is open dawn to dusk. When launching or landing, note that there is limited space to set boats aside near the water, so be prepared to carry your vessel up the ramp to the parking area. The setting is pleasant year-round, making it a convenient access point for both day trips and extended paddles on the Willamette River. Nearby, the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge at the Santiam-Willamette confluence offers additional recreation and wildlife viewing opportunities.
