Ida Lake

Ida Lake, located near Amboy in Blue Earth County, offers multiple public boat ramp access points for paddlers and boaters. The lake spans 231 acres with a maximum depth of 60 feet and is known for its relatively clear water. Several concrete and gravel ramps are available around the lake, including the Lake Ida Southeast Boat Ramp (off Sunset Strip NW), the Lake Ida East Boat Ramp (off Sugar Land Lane NW with a 20-foot-wide concrete ramp), and the Lake Ida North Boat Ramp (off Big Horn Bay Road NW, gravel surface). The southeast access point includes parking for several vehicles.

This is a popular destination for fishing and recreational boating. Kayakers and canoeists will find the lake suitable for paddling, and the multiple access points allow for flexible launch and landing options depending on wind conditions and desired routes.
