About This Access Site
Indian Lake in Brimson offers a concrete boat landing suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site includes a picnic area and dock, with an additional hand launch available for smaller watercraft. The ramp is accessible 24/7, making it convenient for early morning or evening paddling. This quiet lake is popular for fishing, with panfish, bass, walleye, and northern pike in the water.

Paddlers should note that water access to nearby Lewey Lake is available via a portage over the spillway underneath the bridge on Route 30, though this passage is typically restricted to small boats, canoes, and kayaks. The Indian Lake area is located about 25 miles southeast of Hoyt Lakes and is accessible via County Highway 16 and Highway 44. Before launching, confirm any current access restrictions or membership requirements that may apply to the specific ramp you plan to use.
