About This Access Site
**Access & Launch Details**
Indian Lake's main boat ramp is located in Hayward at the end of Indian Trail (0.5 miles from where it meets Woodland Trail), featuring a gravel parking area and turn-around. A hand launch for smaller boats is also available next to the main ramp, making this site convenient for kayakers and canoeists. Users will need an Indian Lake Northwoods Club (ILNC) sticker to launch; place it on your watercraft next to the state sticker after receiving your ramp card.

**Paddling & Portage Opportunities**
If you're interested in exploring beyond Indian Lake, water access to Lewey Lake is available via portage over the spillway underneath the bridge on Route 30. This portage route is typically restricted to small boats, canoes, and kayaks, making it ideal for paddlers. The site is located near several fishing spots and offers live wind condition monitoring to help you plan your launch time safely.
