Ingham-High Wetland Complex

Located in Wallingford in northwest Iowa's Emmet County, this boat ramp provides access to High Lake, part of the scenic Ingham-High Wetland Complex Wildlife Area. The site features a hard-surface boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. A parking area is available for launching, and the facility is open to various recreational activities including boating, fishing, and wildlife observation—making it a good base for exploring the wetland environment and viewing waterfowl and songbirds.

**Practical Notes:** A launch fee applies to all watercraft using the ramp. Dogs are permitted only if going directly from car to boat on a leash of 6 feet or less. During winter, the parking lot remains available for ice fishermen, though vehicles are not permitted on the ice. The wildlife area offers additional amenities including camping, swimming, and well-marked trails for hiking and biking, making this a versatile destination for a full day of recreation.
