About This Access Site
**Current Status & Access:** This access point is currently **closed due to construction of a parallel bridge span**. The area is fenced off and not available for public use at this time. Before attempting to launch here, paddlers should contact local authorities or check current conditions, as access restrictions may change upon project completion.

**About the Trinity River:** The Trinity River is a major waterway (Stream Order 8) with substantial flow averaging over 9,500 cubic feet per second. At this location near Mont Belvieu, you're approximately 472 miles from the river mouth, in the lower tidal section. The river's moderate gradient (0.8 ft/mile average) and strong current make it suitable for experienced paddlers. Water conditions can be influenced by tidal action and flow releases upstream.

**Alternative Access Points:** If the I-10 Bridge site remains closed, several nearby ramps are available: the US 90/SH 146 crossing in Liberty (4 miles), the Railroad Bridge near Liberty (5 miles), and the Private Camp off FM 2797 north of Liberty (1 mile). Wallisville Lake is also nearby for calmer water recreation. Check local conditions before paddling the Trinity River, as current and water levels can vary significantly.
