Iron Bridge Access near Rowley provides public boat ramp access to a scenic stretch of the Wapsipinicon River. The site features a two-lane boat ramp, vehicle parking, and restroom facilities on 10 acres of undeveloped river bottom. This is a solid launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters exploring the Wapsi River Trail—a popular paddling corridor in northeast Iowa. The access point is notable for its proximity to a historic iron bridge, one of the few remaining examples of its kind in the state.
The Wapsipinicon River in this region offers moderate paddling with manageable flows, making it suitable for recreational paddlers of various skill levels. This area is ideal for day trips and offers good access to both upstream and downstream sections of the river. The undeveloped setting provides a natural backdrop for paddling and wildlife viewing along the corridor.
