Isaak Walton League

The site features a paved boat ramp, dock facilities, and a handicapped-accessible fishing pier, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The park also includes picnic areas and a community lodge available for advance booking.

Paddlers heading west from this access point should expect a scenic 4-mile paddle to the next launch, featuring lily pads and two culverts to navigate. The Hennepin Canal offers calm, flat-water paddling ideal for recreational kayakers and canoeists. The site is open to the public and maintained by the local Izaak Walton League chapter, one of America's oldest conservation organizations. Primitive camping with approximately 20 first-come, first-served sites is available on the property for those planning extended trips.
