Island Lake County Park offers a public boat ramp on Victoria Avenue south of I-694 in Cromwell, providing convenient access to this 225-acre lake. The earthen ramp accommodates all types of watercraft, including kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats, making it suitable for both paddlers and anglers. The park also features a fishing pier on the west shore near the boat ramp, plus additional shore access along the channel beneath I-694.
With a maximum depth of 32 feet and underdeveloped shoreline, Island Lake offers pleasant scenery for paddling and recreation. The lake supports populations of walleye, panfish, and muskie, attracting fishing enthusiasts as well as recreational boaters. All watercraft must meet Minnesota DNR safety requirements, and both motorized and non-motorized boats are permitted on the water.
