About This Access Site
Island Lake County Park offers a public boat ramp providing convenient access to this 225-acre lake in Beltrami County. The earthen ramp is located on the north side of the lake and accommodates all types of watercraft, including kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats, provided they meet Minnesota DNR safety requirements. The access point is situated south of I-694 on Victoria Avenue in Puposky, making it easily accessible for recreational paddlers and boaters.

The lake reaches a maximum depth of 32 feet and features a fishing pier on the west shore, along with opportunities to explore the channel beneath I-694. Both paddlers and anglers will find Island Lake a productive destination, though paddlers should note that this location permits motorized traffic. The surrounding county park setting provides a less-developed atmosphere compared to some other regional water bodies.
