Island Lake Reservoir, located in Duluth near St. Louis County, offers water access via the Abbot Road (East) site. **Important note:** There is no developed boat ramp at this location. Instead, this is an unimproved access point to an inlet creek off Viking Boulevard that allows small boats and paddlers to navigate into the lake. This makes it best suited for kayaks, canoes, and other small watercraft rather than larger motorboats.

Paddlers using this access should be prepared for creek navigation to reach the main lake body. The unimproved nature of the launch means you may encounter muddy banks or shallow water depending on water levels.
