Istokpoga Canal Boat Ramp Area - Dry Launch Airboat Ramp

The Istokpoga Canal Boat Ramp Area is a government-owned, 18-acre access point located on U.S. Highway 98 in Lorida that serves the Istokpoga Canal and Kissimmee River system. The facility features both a standard powerboat ramp and a dedicated airboat ramp, making it suitable for various watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The site is well-developed with restrooms, two picnic shelters, ample parking, and multiple picnic tables with grills for day-use visitors.

This is an excellent launching point for exploring the scenic Istokpoga Canal and accessing the broader Kissimmee River system. Paddlers can expect to encounter narrow airboat channels and access to nearby campsites within a short distance, including the Oak Creek North and South campsites featuring beautiful live oak hammocks.
