About This Access Site
Located at 720 Lake Istokpoga Access Road in Sebring (off U.S. 98), this public boat ramp provides excellent access to Lake Istokpoga, Florida's fifth-largest lake at nearly 28,000 acres. The facility features a double boat ramp, making it well-suited for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger vessels. With ample trailer parking (approximately 80 spaces), handicap-accessible facilities, restrooms, and picnic areas, this is a well-developed access point for day trips and recreational outings.

Lake Istokpoga is characterized by shallow waters, averaging four to six feet deep, fed by Arbuckle and Josephine creeks. These gentle conditions make it ideal for paddlers of various skill levels. The lake's large size offers plenty of exploration opportunities, and it's known as one of Florida's premier fishing destinations. A nature trail on-site provides additional recreational options beyond water activities. Youth fishing programs are available, making this a family-friendly destination.
