Jackson Meadows Reservoir is a scenic high-altitude lake nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Sierra City, California. This boat ramp provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats to enjoy the lake.

The reservoir sits at an elevation of 6,100 feet and offers beautiful views of the surrounding Sierra Crest and English Mountain. It's a popular spot for boating, canoeing, water skiing, swimming, and fishing, with rainbow and brown trout stocked by anglers. A designated swim beach is located nearby, along with several campgrounds within 10 miles of the boat ramp.

The boat ramp is located within the Jackson Meadows Reservoir recreation area, which is managed by the Tahoe National Forest. Visitors can explore the area's hiking trails, including a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail along the east side of the lake. Jackson Meadow Reservoir is a high altitude lake at 6100 feet situated in a rolling forested valley on the eastern crest of the Sierra Nevada.  Visitors are awarded with beautiful views of the Sierra Crest and English Mountain.Jackson Meadow Reservoir offers excellent opportunities for boating, canoeing, water skiing, swimming and fishing.  Anglers will find rainbow and brown trout.  Hikers can take advantage of a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail which meanders along the east side of the lake.There are eight campgrounds located adjacent to and on both sides of the lake that are operated by Nevada Irrigation District.  There is also a horse camp for equestrain users operated by the Forest Service.
