About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Located on the north side of Canyon Lake in Comal County, Jacobs Creek Recreation Park offers convenient boat access via FM 306. From FM 306, turn left at the Jacobs Creek Park sign, then immediately right at Sunchaser Marine. Follow the road and take the first left to reach the ramp. The park is situated approximately 2 miles west of Canyon City.

**Facilities & Conditions:** The recreation area features a three-lane concrete boat ramp with a maximum depth of 15 feet, accommodating kayaks, canoes, and larger vessels. The park can accommodate up to 55 vehicles, providing ample parking for day-use visitors. Canyon Lake itself is known for clear, clean water with depths that increase quickly from shore—ideal for paddlers seeking deeper water exploration. The reservoir setting offers excellent on-water recreation opportunities, though paddlers should be aware of the fast-dropping depths.

**General Information:** Jacobs Creek is a non-reservable, day-use facility operated as part of the Canyon Lake recreation area. It's well-established and popular with local boaters and paddlers seeking reliable access to this scenic stretch of the Guadalupe River basin.
