The James M. Robb - Colorado River State Park boat ramp provides easy river access for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats on the Colorado River near Grand Junction, Colorado. The boat ramp is located at the end of the west side parking lot, north of Duke Road, between the Duke Lake and Kingfisher parking areas.
The Colorado River in this section is a wide, slow-moving waterway, making it well-suited for leisurely paddling and small motor boating. Boaters should be aware that the river is designated as "infested" for zebra mussels, so taking proper precautions to clean and dry gear is important. There are no current river or boat ramp closures reported.
The boat ramp is part of the larger James M. Robb - Colorado River State Park system, which offers additional recreation opportunities like hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing in the nearby Gunnison River Bluffs and Mica Mine/Rough Canyon areas. The Saddlehorn Campground is the closest overnight option, located within 10 miles of the boat ramp.
