**Location & Access:** The James R. Metts boat ramp, commonly known as Hope Ferry, is located on the south bank of the Saluda River in Lexington County, SC. Access the site via Corley Mill Road. This is one of only two public ramps available for trailered boat launches on the Saluda River, making it an important access point for the area.
**Facilities & What to Expect:** The landing provides a boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized vessels. Basic amenities include a picnic table and a rope swing. Parking is available but can be limited during peak times. The site sits directly across the river from Saluda Shoals Park (north bank), offering a convenient alternative launch location. For additional paddling options, Gervais Street Bridge is approximately 10 miles downstream, and other public landings with ramps are located 2-3 miles downstream on both banks of the Congaree River.
