About This Access Site
Jasper Bend provides convenient access to the upper Cumberland River above Lake Cumberland near Burnside. This ramp serves paddlers and boaters launching into a scenic 100-mile reservoir system created by Wolf Creek Dam. The site features newly installed lighting and video camera surveillance, making it a secure option for leaving your vehicle. Primitive campsites are planned for future development at this location.

**Access & Directions:** From Whitley City, take US 27 north 12 miles to Bauer Road (County Road 50), then follow signs for approximately 8 miles to Jasper Bend Road. Alternatively, from Somerset, take US 27 south 14.4 miles to Blue John Road, then continue about 9 miles to the ramp. The site offers ample parking near the water.

**What to Know:** This is primarily a launch point—fishing from the ramp itself is not permitted, though anglers will find diverse fish species once on the water. The location provides excellent access for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing on the upper Cumberland River system. Nearby recreation opportunities include the scenic Laurel River Lake within Daniel Boone National Forest and the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail.
