**Status Update:** Jasper Bridge Access is currently **closed with no plans to reopen**. Paddlers and boaters should use alternative access points such as Jasper State Park nearby, where hand-carry access is available.
**About the Site:** When operational, Jasper Bridge Access served as a small gravel boat ramp located just below the Jasper Bridge on the Middle Fork Willamette River. The ramp offered easy put-in and take-out access via either side of the bridge's south approach. However, the facility provided no amenities and was best suited for short shuttle trips rather than extended paddling.
**Regional Context:** The Middle Fork Willamette River in this area (around river mile 195) is characterized by challenging conditions, particularly above Jasper, making it more suitable for experienced paddlers than beginners. For paddlers seeking nearby alternatives, Jasper State Park offers hand-carry access, while Fall Creek Lake and the West Eugene Wetlands provide gentler paddling options in Lane County. Note that the Middle Fork Boat Ramp near Dexter Dam is also closed through summer 2026 for infrastructure work.
