Jewel Lake is a 34-acre lake in scenic Bonner County offering public boat access via an earthen ramp located at the far end of the lake. This small, peaceful lake is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a calm-water paddling experience. To reach the access point from Round Lake State Park, turn left just before crossing Cocolalla Slough and follow the dirt road uphill for approximately 3.5 miles—watch for a small sign marking the turnoff.
Parking is available at the boat launch area, though there is no dedicated parking for beach access. The earthen ramp is typical of Idaho's Fish and Game access sites and accommodates small boats and paddling craft. Given the modest size of the lake, this site works well for day trips, recreational paddling, and fishing. Plan ahead for the unpaved road access, especially during wet or winter conditions, and allow adequate time for the drive to the remote lake location.
