Jimmie Davis State Park provides excellent boat access to Caney Lake, a 5,000-acre freshwater reservoir created by damming Caney Creek. The Clear Bridge launch is one of two boat ramps at the park, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The calm, clear waters are well-suited for paddling, with the lake offering a mixed pine-hardwood forest setting on a peninsula location.
The park is primarily geared toward anglers, with catfish species (channel cats, flatheads, and blue cats) supporting a robust fishing community. Beyond fishing, the lake accommodates waterskiing and recreational boating. Paddlers can expect a scenic freshwater paddling experience in a developed park setting with amenities including camping (73 campsites), picnic areas, cabins, and a fishing pier. Multiple launch ramps around the lake provide flexibility for accessing different areas of the water.
