About This Access Site
**IMPORTANT: Joe Budd Pond is currently closed to public access due to water control structure repairs. Check the WMA Open/Closed Status page for reopening updates before planning your visit.**

When open, Joe Budd Pond offers a small boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small boats. The facility is located behind the main log cabin and features a fishing pier, several earthen fishing fingers, and scenic north Florida wildlife viewing opportunities. Note that access to the site involves a clay road that can become slippery after heavy rains, so plan accordingly during wet weather.

The Joe Budd Youth Conservation Center primarily serves school groups (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.) for educational purposes. For current status updates or inquiries about public access availability, contact the center at (850) 933-4322. The site also includes hiking trails, pavilions, and visitor facilities, making it a multi-use recreation destination once repairs are complete.
